在悉尼给我们开车的司机名叫“john”，他六十多岁了，非常热情、幽默。每天早晨六点就开着大客车准时来接学生，下午继续带着我们在市区狭窄的街道中，用力地握着方向盘，驾驶着汽车，来回穿行。他待学生非常友善，七夕节那天还送全团一大盒澳大利亚的特色饼干，每人一块。上次从悉尼到堪培拉来回９个小时，也是他开的车。这样的人在我们身边是否罕见呢？很多人常常到四十岁就认为自己快老了，到五十岁就认为自己该退休享福了，与六十出头的他比，是否该惭愧呢？更令人吃惊的是，从聊天中得知，这位开朗、勤劳而又朴实的司机，竟然就是这个bus公司的老总，是悉尼最大的bus公司，拥有两百多辆大客车，他近两天其实很累了，只是因为喜欢我们的学生，认为他们有礼貌、很可爱，所以一定要亲自驾车。修学旅行团离开悉尼时，他连夜给全体师生写了一封热情洋溢的信，全文如下：

Dear friends,I hope you all do not mind for me to call you my friends.
For the last five days, I had the privilege to meet one of the nicest groups;I ever had to be with.
Your kindness has touched my heart, the students with their kindness and excellent manor is a credit firstly to their parents and secondly a credit to their teachers. Please don’t change, be kind and do not change your beautiful manors.
To you teachers it is credit that you have moulded beautiful personalities.
Also I’d like to thank you (teachers) for your understanding, cooporation and most of all you took me into your group and you make me feel so welcome and be one of yours. You all will be in my heart and thoughts for a long time to come.
And if any of you teachers or students would likes to email me the phone number in China, so when I visit your beautiful country, I will be able to see you there and I will be delighted.
I wish you all have a nice stay in Melbourne and a safe trip back home to your loved ones.
